We have been a Spotify paying customer for longer than I can remember and I think we have dutifully purchased roku devices since generation 2. We have three operating currently (2 x Ultra and 1 x 4). While much of the Roku is running nicely, the Spotify app really is in a class I would describe as 'Painful'. Audio continually sounds like it is coming out of a tin can (in a 5.1 system it is as if the center channel is the only speaker playing and is inside a trash can). Reboots do not solve the issue, nor does pulling the HDMI and reconnecting. Takes forever to have playlists come up and often they just cycle as if they are looking for your content and you get the added bonus of having a 1 in 4 chance of getting nothing from the app at all for playback as some process in the background is loading playlists that never show up.
It has gotten so bad that we have moved a VERY inferior sounding Amazon Alexa downstairs to the main family room and no longer touch the Spotify on Roku.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution for it besides uninstalling every other app or is Spotify just one big useless storage hog?
